The Worst of the Worst: My list of bad movies I have watched...so you don't have to

I tolerate a lot of things in movies. Low budget is fine as long as it's well written, and sweet fluff will make up for any a spot of bad dialogue....however...there are just some movies that even I can't watch. But I did...all in the name of hunting down good LGBT cinema. And these badies are in no particular order and will be updated with new content from time to time.

1. Impossible Choice (2012)
USA
Synopsis:
For the minister's son, this is a summer of awakening and acceptance of his homosexuality. For his father, this is a challenge to his roots in the bible. (IMBD)

Now this movie isn't all bad. It does have some good sweet and meaningful parts. However, these are unfortunately overshadowed by the gaping plot holes, bad acting, and all around terrible plot. I mean even the cover of this movie is misleading! The acting is on par with the low budget of the film so I can't judge it /to/ harshly...but needless to say it left much to be desired. The plot was overused and when the plot holes came into play well...it didn't even make any sense! And really that was the movies biggest problem, it had so many unexplained and rather noticeable plot holes, as well as unexplained and often awkward character development, that it seemed more like a random jumble of scenes than an actual movie. And honestly...I can't believe this movie was made in 2012 the fashion and the haircuts looked more like 2005.

2. The Last Match (2013)
Cuba
Synopsis:
Two teenage men fall in love, surrounded by the poverty and the marginalization of their country are forced to change their lives and take big risks. (IMBD)

Love is a strong word to use for the synopsis of this film. In this movie Rei and (I honestly can't remember the other dudes name so we are going to call him V) V are not actually teenagers, they are in their mid twenties it seems to me and don't even really seem like friends until a quarter of the way through the film. Both of these men are in heterosexual relationships in the film and Rei even has a one year old son. Though this film was an interesting look at the lives of people in Havana, as well as insight into how homosexuality and homosexual acts are looked at, that is really the only good thing I can say for this movie. It's slow from beginning to end and while the acting is good, the desperation and love the V feels for Rei, is not reciprocated in a very tangible way and it feels more like Rei is just sort of fond on V and/or 'humoring' him, which makes this film sort of hard to watch. Both the dialogue and the scenes felt stunted and it felt like there were way to many filler scenes. The synopsis and the trailer both make it seem like this is a big epic loving coming out story, but it falls very short in all those aspects.
